The fully online, flexible, self-paced Engineering Programs under Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna are powered by Blackboard Learn (BBL), a virtual learning environment and learning management system accessible anytime, anywhere--so students can learn independently at their own pace.
Yes. MMDC's required class meeting times clock in at approximately 7.5 hours a week of synchronous learning. You can choose from morning, afternoon and evening classes, whichever is convenient for you. This gives you more control of your time and allows you to balance academics, hobbies, family life, and social life.
If you take a full load of 15 units or 5 subjects every term, you will graduate in 3 years and 2 Terms for BS IT. The duration, if less load is taken per term, will depend on how many units you take.

No. Our students are not required to go to the Learning Hubs. However, the Learning Hubs are there to cultivate MMDC students to socialize with their peers, as well as host events in the future as well.
All MMDC students can go to our Learning Hubs that are located in accessible areas in Makati City and Bacolod. There, you can meet with your classmates, work on your projects, or schedule a study session.
Here at MMDC, we never limit our students to a one-size fits all type of extracurricular activities. We foster an inclusive environment that hones holistic intellectuals and creatives. We make sure that we support our students in their passion even outside the confines of their degree.

MMDC requires all applicants to take an online Problems, Projects, and Cases (PPC) Assessment as a baseline of your readiness to succeed with MMDC. This assessment is free.
Yes. MMDC accepts freshmen and transferees all year round, at any term. This means you can join in August, December, or April Term. And you can apply as early as now. Just ready your application requirements. In case some are still unavailable, you can submit them before classes start. That's how flexible MMDC is!

Yes! Transferees, college returnees, and second-degree takers are eligible to request a credit evaluation.
To apply, you simply need to:

- Attach your Transcript of Records with grades and course descriptions.
The Academic Team will assess your RCEF and provide feedback within approximately 5 business days, as long as all required documents are complete.

If your previous school closed, you need to contact your local DepEd (elementary, secondary and non-formal education) or CHED (higher education and TESDA administering post-secondary, middle-level manpower training and development) offices to request your student documents.
Yes, you can start as a Freshman. However, this means you will forgo the course crediting process. You must still submit your Transcript of Records (TOR) and Honorable Dismissal, complete the Request for Credit Evaluation Form (RCEF)—checking the box to indicate you are not requesting credits—sign it, and upload it to EnrollMate.
If you later decide to apply for course crediting, email iaservices@mmdc.mcl.edu.ph within your initial term at MMDC, as requests beyond this period may no longer be accommodated.
The Rubrics Grading System will only be used in identifying your scores for a particular output. Your Transcript of Records (TOR) will still reflect the typical grades students in other colleges see, with 1.0 as the maximum possible grade per subject.

Yes, if you've submitted course descriptions and disagree with the evaluation results, you may appeal through EnrollMate or inform your your Admissions Advisor, who will coordinate with the Academics Team for review and possible consultation.
None, it's completely free! The credit evaluation process is a complimentary service we offer to applicants and transferees during their inital term of studies at MMDC.
Once your credit evaluation is complete and any necessary enrollment steps are finalized, you can typically expect to start classes in the upcoming term.
Yes, you can still enroll even without the results of your credit evaluation. To proceed, submit a signed but blank Request for Credit Evaluation Form (RCEF) to indicate your intent to undergo the process. You’ll have until the end of your initial term at MMDC to complete the required documents (e.g., TOR, course descriptions).
Keep in mind that subjects you're already enrolled in will not be eligible for credit evaluation, so we recommend submitting your documents as early as possible.
If you're already enrolled, please email your requirement to Records Officer from the Student Affairs team at records@mmdc.mcl.edu.ph. Subject should be: Request for Credit Evaluation - Surname, First Name.
Yes, you may still proceed by indicating your consent to continue without course descriptions. However, the evaluation will rely solely on your transcript, which may result in fewer or no credits granted.
If you later wish to contest the results, you’ll need to provide the relevant course descriptions or waive the right to appeal (should be within the term). These documents help us better match your previous coursework with MMDC’s curriculum.
We understand that your TOR may take time to be processed. Don't worry, you have until the end of your initial term at MMDC to complete the course crediting process. You just need to at least file your RCEF and show proof/official receipt that you've ordered your TOR on or before the last day of enrollment for the term.
Excellent! If all your other enrollment documents have been verified by the Admissions team, you can proceed with enrollment. Log in EnrollMate to choose your subjects and schedules.

Combining a college degree with a microcredential is a powerful way to boost your career. Starting in 2025, all MMDC students will get access to microcredentials as part of their degree plan.
Option 2: If finances or academic challenges are an issue, the MMDC Certification Programs could be a more manageable option. We’re here to help you explore what works best for you!
All new students and seniors get a FULL CATALOGUE COURSERA ACCESS as part of their tuition. This means they can access Coursera openly and can take as many microcredentials as they want. A value-add when they enroll at MMDC!
You can, but since MMCL students already have access to Coursera, we recommend maximizing that benefit first. However, if you’re eager to join MMDC Certifications, we’d be happy to welcome you!

All-In Access
Pay once for complete access to the entire program. This gives you uninterrupted access to all courses and resources in one go, perfect if you want a smooth, continuous learning experience without having to think about separate payments along the way.
Pay As You Grow Access
Prefer a more affordable way to access your certification program? With this option, you can begin your journey with a minimum initial payment of ₱5,000, which allows you to start the first cluster right away. After that, you pay for additional clusters as you go along, starting at just ₱1,000 per cluster, for a more gradual and flexible way to progress.
Choose All-in Access if you want uninterrupted access to all content from day one. Opt for Pay-as-You-Grow if you'd prefer starting with a smaller payment and scaling your investment as you move through the program. Both options deliver the same high-quality learning experience, just tailored to fit different learning and financial preferences.

No. You will be given strict access to the course for the whole duration of your course. Your account will be deactivated after the course ends.

Activate your GGives via the GCash app (Borrow > GGives). Once activated, your upgraded credit limit will appear in your GGives dashboard.
To pay for tuition, go to GCash Pay Bills and select GGives as the payment method. Note: this loan offer is only valid for your selected school.
